DEF usage

Curious to what the DEF usage is across the different engines out there. We have the 6.7 Cummins, 360 HP in our 2023 Coachmen Sportscoach and we are preparing to travel to Alaska so I want to ensure I have some backup.

You’ll get over 300 mpg, maybe 350, but I always plan on 300 to provide a margin. On long trips I carry two or three boxes and use them if its either inconvenient to locate more or if the local prices are ridiculously high. I don’t use pump DEF in my coach as a rule, so that requires me to plan ahead, but that also allows me to find deals and buy DEF with a recent date code, and that has been stored correctly.

Should be between 2 and 3 gallons of def for each 100 gallons of fuel.
